Quick little snip-it:

One of the pieces of advice given to all the travelers is to read up on the latest news in the country ...

http://www.galwaynews.ie/

has proven to be very useful! The lifestyle section is kinda fun but just the city names, lingo, and new terms are fascinating.

Four weeks from today I leave on that jet plane. I still feel there is plenty to get done before I pack (the fact that it might take me four weeks to pack!) and finalize everything.

Yesterday I received an email... and IT WAS A LIST OF MY FELLOW TRAVELERS!

There will be twenty five - including myself - from America studying at NUI Galway. We're all from different Universities and almost 25 different states! It's going to be an awesome experience getting to know not only the Irish but the other Americans I'm traveling with.

As of right now there is another girl on my flight from Chicago to Dublin. As creepy as it might sound, I am going to find her during my layover.... :)

In two weeks or so I get my roommate assignments and my class schedule. Until then I'll continue to learn my Irish slang, the itinerary of arrival day, research the weather conditions, jot down a couple hot spots in Galway City, and work on a prime packing list.

Thanks for all your support everyone! All my love!

I'm getting antsy!

Galway, Ireland. June 22nd. I fly out June 22nd - it seems like I've been counting down for months and now it's just over a month away. Words can not even begin to describe how blessed I feel to be given this opportunity to travel to Ireland. As the day of departure arrives I have already begun my research.

Things to do/see in Galway:
1. Eyre Square
2. Galway Arts Festival
3. Cathedral of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven
4. Spanish Arch
5. Galway City Museum
6. Dunguaire Castle
7. St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church
and so much more!!

If anyone has any suggestions of what to see or do when I'm there I would LOVE your advice.

Thank you for your support and I promise that the posts will soon be more and more interesting.
